Digital Wedding Packages, have become very popular within the photography as it really allows sharing and instant photography for your wedding. However is this really what you are after? Here are some things to think about below before you make that choice. After all the photographs are one of the only thing left after the day to rekindle your memories.
Here are some ideas to think about before you create a wedding package with your photographer. Well I been thinking about the excitement of the digital era and how easy it is to share our images with one another with use of Facebook and emails etc. There is no need to borrow a negative from someone drive all the way to the local printers to get a copy. Photography now is instant but we need to keep in mind the magical moment of picking up a roll of film from a shop and looking at the prints and admiring what was captured. You would never be sure if anything would even come out! Now with digital you have the reliability to check and be safe in your own mind you have captured the photograph how you wish.
I have come up with the comprise for those technology heads out there in the form of a Digital Wedding Hamper this gives you the best of the old and the new and also a little bit of me and my personality into the mix. I have been doing the Digital Hampers for over a year now but now new and improved with your initials and extra treats.
The Digital Hamper contain a section of prints….. yes prints! to get you started it’s all well and good showing people your pictures on screen TV, laptop or tablet. But the colour profiling may not alway be right on these devices therefore making your wedding photographs not look as amazing as they should. So the prints are a guide for you to allow you to see what they really should look like.
The Hamper also comes with a USB stick with the images taken on from the day and is not locked so you can share with family and friends as you wish.
Also I tend to add few extra treats into the Hamper as well for you. The Hampers are bespoke and tailored to suit you.
Important things to think about where booking a photographer that is only giving you a digital package?
1) How big can you print the photographs?
2) Is the quality high quality or low? (It’s no good having low quality for when you want that wall hanging image or sometimes a photographer may sale you low quality photo file and then you will find an additional fee for high resolution so be aware of the extra charges that may occur)
3) Back -up?
4) Does the photographer help you after the wedding with printing, framing album design etc or are you left to figure this out by yourself?

The Old Dairy Hatherden Farm Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod.
The lovely Steph and Ant celebrated there wedding in style at St Mary Church Andover then at The Old Dairy Hatherden Farm Andover. Steph started the morning off with a run this was the most prefect start to the day go Steph not many brides start there day off with a run. This bride is truly unique. I met Steph at the Hair dressers in the morning which was a lovely pamper time for her and mum. Which was then followed by the most craziest hour of getting ready back at her mums house I have never photographed so quick, military style for sure the most amazing fun. The wedding was planned so well and the timings worked so well also it really helped meeting with the couple on three separate occasions before the day really got a good feel for what they wanted on the wedding from the photography.
Ant is a fellow wedding photographer so the pressure was on for this one. I had so much fun photographing this wedding I am so excited to share all the photographs with this lovely couple. But here is only a sneak peek if you wish of a small section of the photographs from this wedding to give you a taster.

Wow what a venue the most perfect place to hold your wedding reception. The most perfect blend between glam and barn with a DIY twist. You can really personalise this venue to suit your style and personality. Loads of room for anything you wish a must add to you wedding venue must visits. The owners have now extended there family and have a family of Ducks staying with them currently which you maybe lucky to meet over the summer 2015. The owners are really lovely and very approachable 5stars for this venue. Can not wait to photograph another wedding here.

Brides in the Aisle 2015 Guinness World Record Challenge photographed by Official Photographer Kimberley Garrod (Me) and my lovely assistant Natasha from Natasha Jay Photography.
Brides in the Aisle 2015 challenge took off with such excitement at Haskins Garden centre on the 10th May 2015. With a fab selection of Brides and families taking part. The event was full of the most amazing love stories and it was a privilege to be apart of the event and be the official photographer. Thank you to all who got in front of my camera it was a pleasure to photograph you all.
The Guinness World Record challenge has sadly not been broken but has beat last years record in 2014.
The studio was set up raise further funds for Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity and to celebrate all you brides out there that took part. Every photograph purchased a donation will go towards Countess Mountbatten Hospice Charity to support them with there current and future work. A huge thank you for the donations on the day.

The White Horse Romsey Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. I had the pleasure of photographing Naomi and Alan wedding day which was a little different from normal little quirky wedding with close family and friends. With the most amazing flowers on the day and full of colour. The bride and groom have two little ones who were great fun on the day and had lots of attitude and style which made for some great outtake photographs. The church service was so lovely and really heart felt service which was a pleasure to be apart of on there big day and we also had the chance to escape for some lovely couple pictures before heading to the venue which was really nice for the couple to have time just the two of them. Highly recommend having time just the two of you to get some nice pictures and some time alone.

Cliveden House Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod, oh my what a day yesterday at Cliveden House wedding supplier meeting. The weather was amazing and the new decor wow. I arrived at the venue early and took these pictures below imagine how more amazing these would be with Bride and Groom in the pictures. Can not wait to photograph a wedding here have some great packages available specially for Cliveden House clients only.
This is one of the worlds most finest luxury hotels and it has and is ongoing restoration work but I ensure you this does not take away from the beauty of this venue. There are construction works going on where the iconic photograph on balcony however there are so many great and amazing areas for photograph outside not to mention inside. It is truly the most magical fairytale wedding venue when walking around this venue you can not help but feel really special and yet the venue has such a amazing cozy feel at the same time. Below are a few images from the outside but inside wow I shall leave the pictures out so you must go to visit to tour the inside. A must to add to your wedding venue visit when decided where to have your big day. Also you can book the whole house all to yourself there are many combinations or rooms and different places you can say your “i do’s” this really allows you to personalise your wedding and have it just as you wish.

Rownhams House Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. Well Rownhams House in Southampton is under new management and ownership and they kindly let a team of local wedding suppliers take over on May Bank holiday Monday. I am slightly impressed that the weather held out for this. The idea of the shoot was to showcase local suppliers and to work with a new team. I suppose you could say a shoot for fun, please note not a real bride and it is a styled test shoot. What a great day seeing everyones specialities come together in a selection of amazing photographs.

Sopley Mill Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. Sopley Mill has become one of my favourite wedding venues to photograph at there are so many places to take pictures and it really allows for each couples wedding pictures to be completely different from the next. This venue has the added bonus as well as being your blank canvas and you can create whatever theme you wish. There are stunning views from every window and there is very much a homely feel.
I had a lovely time at this venue on Sunday the owner showed me around the grounds and all the secret little places to photograph. The weather was amazing for April. Most of this wedding was spent outside in the garden area enjoying the great British weather lucky pair.
What can I say about these two love birds Alison and Carl I met these two about a year before there wedding and then met before the wedding as well. We came up with lots of ideas between us for photography and the little touches on the day were just so adorable these two had really worked super hard in thinking about everything on the day. Alison’s dress wow was so pretty and Carl supporting a very handsome blue suit worked great together. These two are so very much in love and the ceremony was truly magical to be apart of and to see the love grow between these two even more. The day was followed by a selection of celebrations including ice cream bike outside and BBQ style food with speeches outside and photographs followed by a DJ set in the evening with lots happening in between. Below are a few images giving you a flavour of there big day.

The Master Builders Hotel Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. A wedding with a difference this lovely pair had the most amazing day the weather was beautiful for April but what was even better was the wedding days itself. I have not photographed at the The Master Builders Hotel before I can can say what a beautiful venue to photograph in lots of amazing places for sunny photographs and also lots of places to use if you happen to get rain on the day. Here are a few pictures below to get a little idea off the venue and a few sneak peeks of Ian and Jenni’s wedding day. Wedding photographs are important to the couple and do not need to be splashed all over a blog 100′s of them so please see below enough images equivalent to a roll of 36 film to give you a little flavour.

The Master Builders Hotel is set close to the beautiful location of Beaulieu River and is the most perfect location for a wedding the hotel to give you freedom in working with you to create the day you truly want. The staff here at this hotel are lovely they really do look after you and take care of all the little details as well as the big things on the day. The team work smoothly together and the catering team produce food that is spectacular. They looked after me well on the day even though they had lots of other quests to look after they made a real effort to ensure I had a lunch and drink as well which was lovely.
