Elmers Court Hotel Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. Had the pleasure of being Dom and Lauren wedding photographer at Elmer’s Court wow what a day. The sun was shining and surrounded by lovely family and friends. Had such fun photographing these love birds and the story of their day, wish I could do it all over again. I meet Lauren and Dom possibly a year before the big day and kept in touch with them in the lead up to the wedding. Then a few weeks before met up and did a pre-wedding shoot and it turned out to be Dom’s birthday as well so not only involved in there wedding but also Dom’s birthday. The pre-shoot was so much fun and little cashew as well was a great character.
The wedding was beautifully styled by Lauren and simple elegant touches thought-out the venue which put their stamp on the day. Lauren took Dom’s breathe away as she walked down the aisle and even a little tear in my eye as the photographer these two are truly in love. This was my first wedding that I photographed after my wedding what a wedding to lead on from mine. What a amazing dress Lauren had fitted like a glove it was meant to be. The day was very relaxed and fun for the two of them they had a lovely wedding meal and had traditional speeches and cake cutting in early evening. The evening band were great fun even getting the groom to be a drummer for a bit. I ended up staying at this wedding for 14hours but what great fun I had a huge pleasure to be Lauren and Dom’s photographer.
After the big day was over received this lovely little message and feedback from Lauren and Dom.
“We would like to say a massive thank you to Kimberley for photographing our wedding yesterday. It was one of the best decisions we made for the day to choose Kimberley and she was just fantastic for the whole day. She made everyone she spoke to feel comfortable and has such a great personality which really made her an amazing part of our day. She worked so hard all day and not just taking photos, she was chatting with people, asking people if they were ok for drinks and just being really helpful. We cannot wait to see the pictures she has taken of our special day.
I will recommend Kimberley hands down to anyone who is getting married or wanting a photographer. Thank you so much again. Dom and Lauren xxxx”
Winchester Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. Wow this wedding had a fab selection of venues Winchester Royal Hotel, St Peters Church and Winchester Cathedral Refectory. The lovely Harriet and David what a fantastic wedding day. It was so nice to move around Winchester to all the different venues and what a mixture of styles in the photographs the different venues really tell the story of the day.
Harriett got ready and the Winchester royal Hotel with her girlfriends and the boys spend morning relaxing in Winchester and a quick pint at Greens before heading to the church. A lovely little car came to pick Harriett and her dad up to transport them to the church. When a lovely service followed with a very nervous and excited Dave awaiting. The service was so lovely and I was given the freedom to spread my wings around the church which allowed me to get a 360 story of the service which was so lovely. Due to the great weather the sun was pouring in from all windows which made the photographs look so beautiful. Then the day moved on to the Winchester Cathedral Refectory Winchester’s best kept wedding secret. A lovely venue in centre of town but with views of beautiful walled garden and roses with cathedral in the background. Such a vintage secret garden fee to this venue. The photography on the day was very relaxed and fun with many candid and natural shots in the moment which truly capture all the quests celebrating.
Below are a few Photographs from the day that tell a little part of the story for you as a taster.

Wedding Flowers where do you start? Which colours to pick, styles, size etc very tricky job for a couple to pick. As some of you may know I have recently got married and I am a huge fan of real flowers and I feel that flowers make such a difference in wedding photography and to the atmosphere of the day. I decided to get married on the Isles of Scillys and it was proving hard to find a florist, so I thought I would give it a go myself. I have seen many different ideas over the years of being a wedding photographer and knew what I wanted so I went to local florist shops to find a stock of flowers to take with me. So I ended up with some base flowers white roses and also some green bits to pack out button holes. The white roses traveled ok but some of the petals were damaged due to picking roses that were half closed it allowed me to pull the damaged petals off before going into the design. Then I went hunting on the Island and found a stock of the most amazing pinks which is a well know island flower, all different types and colours and built myself a hand tie and button holes for my wedding day. Sometimes keeping it simple can be best if you are creating your own wedding flowers. Pictures below for you to see what I got up to with creating my own wedding flowers.
So due to the fact I got married on Isles of Scillys I could not take everyone with me so there was a big party planned the following weekend which I needed even more flowers for. So this time I commissioned the most amazing team from Luv Flowers in Botley. I have worked with them on many projects and happy to say I picked them for my wedding florist. I was very pleased to see there little van turn up full of the most amazing flowers for me. It is worth collecting images and ideas from magazine and the internet and going to florists with loose ideas as they can give you support and guide you, sometimes it is worth letting florists do there thing you will end up with the most amazing results. The theme I gave to my florists was garden party vintage style. I highly recommend this team of florists you will not be disappointed. Below are a few pictures of what they did for me.
