The Best of 2016 Wedding Season Collection is here for Hampshire based Wedding photographer Kimberley Nicolle. Where do I even start an amazing year full of lots of love and colour. Thank you to all my lovely Brides and Grooms, Brides and Brides and Groom and Grooms. It has been so much fun capturing your special day and the images are out of this world in 2016. Sadly not been able to put all the images in from the year otherwise it would be a very very very long film. I can not begin to thank you all enough for having me apart of your wedding day. I wish we could do it all over again. Here are a few of the highlights from the year. Can not wait for the many years to come where hopefully I will still have my camera in my hands capturing your loved and cherished moments.
I guess I should let you all in on what 2017 has in store well we have a fantastic diary so far with over 30 wedding booked in so far this year. We are starting to offer highlight films this year which is very exciting time for us. We have been working on the concept for the last 3 years filming and learning and composing videos and we are now ready to go live with this service for all new couples of 2017. We also have two new Canon cameras which are joining the team and look forward to even higher quality cameras to capture your day if this is even possible. Happy 2017 x

Rownhams House Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. Well Rownhams House in Southampton is under new management and ownership and they kindly let a team of local wedding suppliers take over on May Bank holiday Monday. I am slightly impressed that the weather held out for this. The idea of the shoot was to showcase local suppliers and to work with a new team. I suppose you could say a shoot for fun, please note not a real bride and it is a styled test shoot. What a great day seeing everyones specialities come together in a selection of amazing photographs.
Here are a few photographs from the shoot to show you what can be created when you have the right suppliers and team together.
All credits are below to all involved in the shoot if you should wish to get in contact with any of the team from the shoot.

Winchester Engagement Photo Shoots. Often known as engagement photo shoots or sometimes referred to as pre-wedding shoots are a great fun way to feel at ease at being in front of the camera rather than feeling like a bit of a lemon. Well there are lots of hidden places in Winchester to do Pre-wedding shoots and it is one of my favourite places to photograph. A pre -wedding shoot or engagement photo shoot the idea is one of two things; one to celebrate the engagement of a couple and second is to do pre-wedding shoot before the wedding so you can get used to being in front of camera and also to get to know your photographer more.
Many people find this very helpful and it is a great way to get some more relaxed couple pictures also pets are welcome I have done a few pre-wedding shoots now where dogs have come along this is great fun as pets often are not at the wedding so way of celebrating little family pictures before. Also with reference to clothes anything goes you can bring changes of outfits, match your partner, go smart or casual completely up to you.
So here is a example below of the lovely Dan and Marta who were in front of my camera only a few weeks ago early evening time in Winchester. They are getting married this weekend very excited to be there wedding photographer. They went for matching blue tones on the night and we went for a walk around Winchester and used different backgrounds and different light so they could get a idea of the type of style and look that could be achieved on their wedding day. This shoot was great is worked really well and afterwards we went for a drink where we all got to know each other a little more. Then a couple of days later I sent them a disk with all images on for them to enjoy. x

Wedding Flowers where do you start? Which colours to pick, styles, size etc very tricky job for a couple to pick. As some of you may know I have recently got married and I am a huge fan of real flowers and I feel that flowers make such a difference in wedding photography and to the atmosphere of the day. I decided to get married on the Isles of Scillys and it was proving hard to find a florist, so I thought I would give it a go myself. I have seen many different ideas over the years of being a wedding photographer and knew what I wanted so I went to local florist shops to find a stock of flowers to take with me. So I ended up with some base flowers white roses and also some green bits to pack out button holes. The white roses traveled ok but some of the petals were damaged due to picking roses that were half closed it allowed me to pull the damaged petals off before going into the design. Then I went hunting on the Island and found a stock of the most amazing pinks which is a well know island flower, all different types and colours and built myself a hand tie and button holes for my wedding day. Sometimes keeping it simple can be best if you are creating your own wedding flowers. Pictures below for you to see what I got up to with creating my own wedding flowers.
So due to the fact I got married on Isles of Scillys I could not take everyone with me so there was a big party planned the following weekend which I needed even more flowers for. So this time I commissioned the most amazing team from Luv Flowers in Botley. I have worked with them on many projects and happy to say I picked them for my wedding florist. I was very pleased to see there little van turn up full of the most amazing flowers for me. It is worth collecting images and ideas from magazine and the internet and going to florists with loose ideas as they can give you support and guide you, sometimes it is worth letting florists do there thing you will end up with the most amazing results. The theme I gave to my florists was garden party vintage style. I highly recommend this team of florists you will not be disappointed. Below are a few pictures of what they did for me.
Lauren and Dom’s Pre-Wedding Shoot New Forest with Hampshire Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod.
Had a lovely day in the New Forest with Lauren, Dom and Cashew and last minute surprise Dom’s birthday as well so happy birthday a pleasure to do your pre-wedding shoot on a birthday as well. Here is a small selection of images from the shoot. Pre-wedding shoots are always good fun way of getting used to being in front of camera before the wedding day and also give you the chance to get to know me more as well. Also most importantly you can also bring your animals along for the shoot which is a great way to get some pictures of your pets at the same time as often pets do not make it as a guest to the wedding. Here is a little overview of pre-wedding shoot.
The Wedding Industry Awards Regional Finalist 2014 London and South East Kimberley Garrod Photography.
Very pleased to be showing this off made the start of my year 2014.
Bournemouth Beach Weddings one on my favourite locations of all time. We spent the morning getting ready at the lovely Cotton wood Boutique hotel which has a lovely location on the cliffs with amazing views of the sea and beach. I have had a very interesting year this year with all my fab wedding clients. To finish the year in style a wedding on the last day of the year 31st of December 2013 the lovely Mark and Lisa asked me to be there wedding photographer for the day. A pleasure to be asked and a very intimate wedding indeed 5 of us all together including me. I was asked to be a witness which was my first time and a pleasure. The weather was not really on our side this day however we got some amazing photographs below is just a very small collection of photographs from the day as a little inspiration to those who are having a small wedding. It is worth having a photographer no matter how big or small the wedding. There are no rules to the photography and it is worth having a professional photographer no matter the size of the wedding as there is only one chance to have a professional recording of your day. Lisa had lots of very cool props and details to the wedding I was very inspired by her button bouquet which was made by Lesa at I heart Buttons on the Isle of Wight very well made and beautiful details on the buttons and a lovely keep sake for the future. Also a fab idea to have some very pretty hangers around to hang your wedding dress on for photographs I love the little details that make the day a little more special they also deserve a photo in their own right.

New Place Shirrell Heath Wedding Photography.
Natasha and Lee’s November Wedding at the De Vere New Place Shirrell Heath. Natasha found me on the world of google and she called me and we arrange a meeting. I went round to meet Natasha and had a great time at coming up with ideas looking at photographs of what she wanted from her wedding photography. We kept in contact via phone calls and emails and then a week before the wedding we had a meeting to catch up at the venue where we went though last minute details and events of the day.
The wedding took place late evening of which it was pitch black outside so the use of flash photography was a must. Many weddings take place in dark conditions and out of summer season I would meet you at the venue to discuss lights and creative ideas with you if you have a late evening wedding. I started photographing late afternoon and caught the last bit of light at the start of the day. The afternoon was very relaxed the getting ready pictures that were created were taken in a relaxed and natural way also I spent time on capturing the detail shots thought-out the day. We went on to have a lovely wedding service in candle light and then onto a Indian inspired party in the evening which was full of colour and amazing dancing from all quests. The day was so fantastic and truly magical. Capturing Natasha and Lee and there wedding day was a pleasure. A little sneak peek below enjoy x
More pictures coming soon…………..
