Winchester Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. Wow this wedding had a fab selection of venues Winchester Royal Hotel, St Peters Church and Winchester Cathedral Refectory. The lovely Harriet and David what a fantastic wedding day. It was so nice to move around Winchester to all the different venues and what a mixture of styles in the photographs the different venues really tell the story of the day.
Harriett got ready and the Winchester royal Hotel with her girlfriends and the boys spend morning relaxing in Winchester and a quick pint at Greens before heading to the church. A lovely little car came to pick Harriett and her dad up to transport them to the church. When a lovely service followed with a very nervous and excited Dave awaiting. The service was so lovely and I was given the freedom to spread my wings around the church which allowed me to get a 360 story of the service which was so lovely. Due to the great weather the sun was pouring in from all windows which made the photographs look so beautiful. Then the day moved on to the Winchester Cathedral Refectory Winchester’s best kept wedding secret. A lovely venue in centre of town but with views of beautiful walled garden and roses with cathedral in the background. Such a vintage secret garden fee to this venue. The photography on the day was very relaxed and fun with many candid and natural shots in the moment which truly capture all the quests celebrating.
Below are a few Photographs from the day that tell a little part of the story for you as a taster.

Wedding Flowers where do you start? Which colours to pick, styles, size etc very tricky job for a couple to pick. As some of you may know I have recently got married and I am a huge fan of real flowers and I feel that flowers make such a difference in wedding photography and to the atmosphere of the day. I decided to get married on the Isles of Scillys and it was proving hard to find a florist, so I thought I would give it a go myself. I have seen many different ideas over the years of being a wedding photographer and knew what I wanted so I went to local florist shops to find a stock of flowers to take with me. So I ended up with some base flowers white roses and also some green bits to pack out button holes. The white roses traveled ok but some of the petals were damaged due to picking roses that were half closed it allowed me to pull the damaged petals off before going into the design. Then I went hunting on the Island and found a stock of the most amazing pinks which is a well know island flower, all different types and colours and built myself a hand tie and button holes for my wedding day. Sometimes keeping it simple can be best if you are creating your own wedding flowers. Pictures below for you to see what I got up to with creating my own wedding flowers.
So due to the fact I got married on Isles of Scillys I could not take everyone with me so there was a big party planned the following weekend which I needed even more flowers for. So this time I commissioned the most amazing team from Luv Flowers in Botley. I have worked with them on many projects and happy to say I picked them for my wedding florist. I was very pleased to see there little van turn up full of the most amazing flowers for me. It is worth collecting images and ideas from magazine and the internet and going to florists with loose ideas as they can give you support and guide you, sometimes it is worth letting florists do there thing you will end up with the most amazing results. The theme I gave to my florists was garden party vintage style. I highly recommend this team of florists you will not be disappointed. Below are a few pictures of what they did for me.
Lainston House Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod. What a venue Lainston House is in Winchester and it a country house venue tucked away. It is rare to photograph at the same venue twice in one year unless you are on a recommend list. So this year I got to photograph at the amazing Lainston House for the first time for Jodie and Hek and little Sophie. This venue has been on my wish list to photograph so very pleased I was booked for this venue. The wedding ceremony was outside which was truly magical very dreamy. The wedding was all based at Lainston house which was great as the couple had time to relax and enjoy the day. Jodie created the most amazing wedding cake I actually think she should start off a cake business as it was pretty amazing. I had such a lovely day really had fun photographing the kids as well as the adults. This was a very warm and friendly wedding with style and class such a pleasure to be the wedding photographer. I love family weddings where the Bride and Groom already have started their family Sophie the bridesmaid and daughter was great fun at this wedding she was like a mini wedding planner so cute to see. Below are a few photographs which share the style and story of the day with you.

Lovers of traditional weddings in and around Hampshire flock to the baronial hall setting of the Tylney Suite which is simply magnificent. Its high vaulted ceiling and minstrels’ gallery create an old world atmosphere that is as luxurious as it is special, making the Tylney Suite a much sought after Hampshire wedding venue.
By way of a change of style, the Hampshire Suite offers a more private venue with its own reception area, bar and walled garden. And smaller gatherings can be looked after just as perfectly in the many individual period rooms, which can be decorated specially for the occasion.
That all important wedding breakfast can be catered for you too in all sorts of tempting ways, from fixed price per head wedding packages to a complete à la carte service tailored to your individual requirements.
In Spring, Summer and Autumn the historic gardens are ablaze with colour, and couples have never looked more romantic than when photographed in the gardens, or posing on the Boathouse Bridge that spans the lake.
And even during the Winter months the main Hall, with its sweeping wood panelling reflecting the glow of log fires crackling in their grates, adds a touch of winter wonderland to any wedding.
It is true to say that the romantic possibilities are endless at Tylney Hall, but help is always at hand to help you plan this most special of days. So may we suggest you let our events staff help you plan your day with us to make sure it lives up to all your expectations, and creates a lifetime of happy memories.
At Tylney Hall Hotel we are also licensed to hold civil ceremonies making us the complete Hampshire wedding venue where happy memories last a lifetime.
Rookesbury Park Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod 3rd May 2014. Well what can I tell you about Rookesbury Park it is a little kept secret wedding venue with amazing 360 views and full of character it is currently undergoing some very pretty restoration in the main entrance hall and it is looking great, I can not wait to photograph here again. It is now one of my most favourite wedding venues in Hampshire. I would of picked this as my wedding venue if I had found it in time. The service they give is very friendly and polite and the team that work on the weddings are lovely. The drive way leading up to the house is amazing so beautiful especially this time of year when the fields are all yellow however there is only a small window for these fields only have 1month of flowers before cut so if you want the yellow field vibe early May to end may is when to aim for.
So to match with a lovely venue a big congratulations to Sarah and Richard on getting married. After all the challenges planning a wedding brings, this couple conquered all of the challenges that were in front of them. They had the most amazing day and were blessed with the most beautiful sunny weather the whole weekend. The photographs were taken in a relaxed and natural manor very much in the moment photography was the brief. Not to feel like a lemon and to enjoy the photography. So I started the day at 9am and left rather late capturing the whole day and the stories along the way. Below are a few images which tell a little part of the story the rest are for Sarah and Richard’s eyes.x

Bespoke Luxury Wedding Albums only the best for my clients.
So the wedding album many people are not having wedding albums as everyone is so keen to have digital copies of there images. I think it is great to have a digital copy of all your images to share with family and friends they also act as your negatives from the day. However sometimes they sit in a draw and are only looked at every now and then.
So the wedding album which I am sure causes huge debate do you make one yourself, spend lots on money on prints and stick into a album a friend or family member has given you or do you use a online supplier to create a photo book? The list is endless to what can be created the question is do you have time and what kind of finish do you want on the album? Most online photo book companies charge from £5.99 to £ 250.00 for a photo book all depending on the finish and page numbers. That maybe a great price range but you have to sit there for at least 6hours to download and create the wedding book then the paper quality may not be what you are hoping for and you do not get to see a sample before doing it so you have not really much idea what is going to come back from the printers and also you have no idea how long it will last for.
I using state of the art software and the best album suppliers out there to give you high standard finish to the best quality. I can create albums for all clients no matter when I photographed the wedding. I can also put together albums of other photographers work as long as permission is given by the other photographer. Albums take between 4-6 weeks to create.
I try to make the album process easy stress free and personalised to you there are over 30 different combinations of covers styles and colours. I give you the freedom to create an album that is really you. So leave your photographs in my hand to tell the story of your magical day all you need to do is sit back and wait for the proof.

Very pleased to be showing this off made the start of my year 2014.
Bournemouth Beach Weddings one on my favourite locations of all time. We spent the morning getting ready at the lovely Cotton wood Boutique hotel which has a lovely location on the cliffs with amazing views of the sea and beach. I have had a very interesting year this year with all my fab wedding clients. To finish the year in style a wedding on the last day of the year 31st of December 2013 the lovely Mark and Lisa asked me to be there wedding photographer for the day. A pleasure to be asked and a very intimate wedding indeed 5 of us all together including me. I was asked to be a witness which was my first time and a pleasure. The weather was not really on our side this day however we got some amazing photographs below is just a very small collection of photographs from the day as a little inspiration to those who are having a small wedding. It is worth having a photographer no matter how big or small the wedding. There are no rules to the photography and it is worth having a professional photographer no matter the size of the wedding as there is only one chance to have a professional recording of your day. Lisa had lots of very cool props and details to the wedding I was very inspired by her button bouquet which was made by Lesa at I heart Buttons on the Isle of Wight very well made and beautiful details on the buttons and a lovely keep sake for the future. Also a fab idea to have some very pretty hangers around to hang your wedding dress on for photographs I love the little details that make the day a little more special they also deserve a photo in their own right.

New Place Shirrell Heath Wedding Photography.
Natasha and Lee’s November Wedding at the De Vere New Place Shirrell Heath. Natasha found me on the world of google and she called me and we arrange a meeting. I went round to meet Natasha and had a great time at coming up with ideas looking at photographs of what she wanted from her wedding photography. We kept in contact via phone calls and emails and then a week before the wedding we had a meeting to catch up at the venue where we went though last minute details and events of the day.
The wedding took place late evening of which it was pitch black outside so the use of flash photography was a must. Many weddings take place in dark conditions and out of summer season I would meet you at the venue to discuss lights and creative ideas with you if you have a late evening wedding. I started photographing late afternoon and caught the last bit of light at the start of the day. The afternoon was very relaxed the getting ready pictures that were created were taken in a relaxed and natural way also I spent time on capturing the detail shots thought-out the day. We went on to have a lovely wedding service in candle light and then onto a Indian inspired party in the evening which was full of colour and amazing dancing from all quests. The day was so fantastic and truly magical. Capturing Natasha and Lee and there wedding day was a pleasure. A little sneak peek below enjoy x
