I was let loose on Lucy and Rich Wedding on 30th April 2017. I was booked as team two photographers and video highlights as well so busy day full of creating great visuals to capture the story.
I have had the pleasure of photographing at the Mill many times now and every time it is different so many ways to style and personalise this venue. The venue had the most stunning views Across the Avon River & Water Meadows and has a wonderful charm to venue and loads of great places for photographs overtime I come I seem to find another little secret place to photograph.
What a amazing day I had with the most amazing styling and finishing touches really made the day perfect. Lucy spent so much time and effort into planning every little bit of her day and despite the rain the glittery wellingtons really came into there own on the day. Lucy was determined to have pictures outside and I was watching the weather for the perfect escapes all day for them which really paid off and they had a whole load of lovely pictures outside. So no need to worry about the rain there are always opportunities available.

I had the pleasure of photographing Clare and Andy wedding at Southend barns this was a wedding venue I fell in love with when I was looking for my own wedding however due to the number of guests I wanted I had to go else where so when Clare and Andy told me this was where they had chosen I could not wait to be there wedding photographer. So who would of thought no April showers this year and the most amazing weather this day. Clare had thought of everything so many lovely details and bits around the venue which really put there personal stamp on the day. I simply can not wait to design a wedding album for these two.

A very snowy dark evening at Hotel duVin in Winchester. Exquisite Bridal Couture of Winchester created a event with Stephanie Allin on Friday 10th February. The evening was a delightful occasion meeting one of the wedding dress designers in person who work closely with Exquisite team. Stephanie’s latest collection was on show at the event with many more amazing creations available at the shop. A style presentation from Stephanie and the Exquisite team was a great and informative night helping brides who are on the hunt for there wedding dress.
I say hunt as I was one of those brides who really struggled to find the right dress. As you can imagine being a photographer and surround by amazing dresses every weekend really made hunting for my wedding dress a hunt rather than a pleasure. I almost had to many ideas and such a eye for what dresses looked like on and off of camera it was a nightmare. I must of tried on over 100 dresses I would hate to go back and count the number that I did try on. Also I went to about 10 different shops all with different styles of dresses and designers. I think I had a idea in my head of what I wanted my dress to be like and went out looking for it turns out it did not exist. I was looking for a dress that simply was not there. So my advice would be have a few loose ideas and always try on the wild card dress and enjoy the experience pick a few shops you like the look of and know there stuff on fashion and dresses and you will find the right dress for your big day.
Natalie mentioned ” it’s important to live in the moment when trying of dresses at you will know when you have the right dress it is a feeling” she is so right also Natalie mentioned that taking pictures of yourself in the dress in the shop when trying on bridal dresses will simply not be helpful to you as you will go home and look at the picture and be critical and put yourself off, as who looks at a picture of themselves and says wow I look hot? So true. We always find faults in pictures and especially when looking at yourself in a wedding dress, it is better to go back and try it on than look at a picture. So keep this in mind when your bridal shopping after all your hair and make-up is not done your in a shop environment not at your wedding venue. So try to not over think and enjoy being a bride and trying dresses on. Below are a few insights to the new collection by Stephanie and few tips on how to shop for your wedding dress.

The Best of 2016 Wedding Season Collection is here for Hampshire based Wedding photographer Kimberley Nicolle. Where do I even start an amazing year full of lots of love and colour. I guess I should let you all in on what 2017 has in store well we have a fantastic diary so far with over 30 wedding booked in so far this year. We are starting to offer highlight films this year which is very exciting time for us. We have been working on the concept for the last 3 years filming and learning and composing videos and we are now ready to go live with this service for all new couples of 2017. Beaulieu Hotel Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod photographing for Lara and Marc big wedding day.
What a amazing day blessed with the most amazing weather for February a little over cast a little sunshine followed by the most amazing sunset could not believe it how lucky these two were with there day. I am always hopeful my couples will get the most amazing weather but this day really did take my breathe away.
TIP: Its important to think about the weather in England as you never know what kind of weather you will have so be prepared with umbrella jackets and wellington boots if you plan to get married in the New Forest this will allow you to photograph outside in comfort also you may wish to have a extra pair of hand for your dress so a bridesmaid can always come in handy but extra pair of foot wear for them rather than hills is always a good top tip for Forest weddings. Also be flexible as you may have to change your ideas about your photography on the day but your photographer will guide you on the day to ensure you get the best possible outcome.
This venue is so lovely the location is great for photographs and you really are in the middle of the New Forest with amazing views. I have now photographed at this venue on four separate occasions and the venue really allows for you to put your personal stamp on it. Every wedding I have photographed here has been completely different. The staff are very friendly and helpful they really looked after me being very pregnant at the time of photographing this wedding.
This couple had some surprises for quests by having a singing waiter at dinner which I did not know about and felt a little bad as I asked him to get me a glass of water in the afternoon. Well he was standing in the bar! Hopefully he will let me off? It was so much fun and quests had great time having singing waiter dancing around the room and everyone singing along really fun thing to do.
The day was full of lots little details that were personal to Lara and Marc which really added a lovely feel to the day and personalised the wedding breakfast room. These two are so much in love and have the most lovely story it was a pleasure to be there photographer and be apart of there big day.

Thank you to everyone who has supported my business over the last year. As we go into another exciting year of weddings I wanted to celebrate all my lovely clients who got married in 2015. I had the pleasure of photographing over 40 weddings. A fab year full of lots of love and laughter and fabulous love stories. I had the pleasure for the first year of photographing 1 wedding in Europe and also a wedding on the amazing Isles of Scillys and Jersey. So weddings this year have really been mixed up with different locations and many new wedding venues which I have not photographed at before.
Also on a personal note 2015 I had the pleasure of celebrating being married for a year and had the great news of expecting a new addition to the family not a puppy sadly!!! but a little baby boy on route who will make a appearance in March 2016. I am looking forward to the year ahead and photographing some amazing weddings in 2016 which I am so looking forward to. I ended 2015 on a high with having achieved third year in a row Best Wedding Photographer London and South East Regional Finalist also had the pleasure of winning Merit Award from the Master of Photographers for most Aspiring Member with a great bridal photograph. I am looking forward to what 2016 will have in store.

These awards are like no other as they are voted for by you the Brides and Grooms of the UK.
The awards consist of 25 categories across 7 geographical regions of England and those who are involved are the very best of the best wedding suppliers in England. The awards closed on 23rd October 2015 and clients have been voting for there favourite wedding suppliers of which if successful will be shortlisted as Regional finalist for there speciality. The Best Wedding Photographer London and South East was judged this year by Damian Bailey, Ross Harvey and MV Photography Collective.
I am very proud to announce Kimberley Garrod Photography has been shorted listed as Best Wedding Photographer of the Year in London and South East region. We celebrated in style at Morden House in London in November along with bump and very stretchy black dress. A lovely evening surrounded by the very best wedding suppliers in the area. Farbridge Wedding Photographer Kimberley Garrod I covered a wedding her in September 2015. A very special wedding as it was a friends wedding I had the pleasure of photographing. I have never photographed at this venue before and has a great time being looked after at this venue as a supplier and as a quest.
What can a say apart from a huge congratulations to this lovely pair Kim and Phil on getting married. A pleasure to be there photographer on the day and capture there love story unfold. They had a lovely collection of special touches on there day not to mention the last minute wedding fudge favour problems apart from that smooth running. There is always one thing that will not go quite to plan on your wedding day so be prepared to let things go if they can not be sorted in time and deal with it afterwards do not let little details spoil your day. So Kim got ready at her parents house and then was collected in style with bridesmaids and dad and delivered to the venue on time and looking wow indeed. This barn venue has the most lovely ceremony room where phil waited nervously and the bridal getting ready room is simply stunning area to chill out with your groom and get away from it all for little bit. They had the most wonderful service surrounded by close family and friends. The weather was on there side lucky pair and had drinks reception outside courtyard area with the most beautiful string music in the background. They went on to enjoy there day with lovely meal, speeches, first dance and dancing the night away.

Jersey wedding photographer Kimberley Garrod based in Southampton Hampshire. However it extremely easy to fly over to the Island whenever you need me from Southampton Airport I normally travel over two days before your wedding to ensure safe travel to the Island ahead of time before the wedding this will allow me to scout the venues and come up with some great ideas for you and also to meet you the day before the wedding if you wish to run though any last minute details or possible for me to come to pre-plans the night before the wedding.
