Every wedding day is different so should be the photography
One of the most precious parts of a wedding the photography and one of the only things you are left with after the big day has flown by. I am there to capture the perfect shots for you and to be your story teller for the day. From getting ready to dancing the night away. As a photographer for me it’s about capturing your personality and style in a fun and natural and to have fun doing it. What I call the “Real feelings” are so important to creating the most amazing story book from the day. Every emotion you could possibly think of is present at a wedding the tears the laughter the embarrassment moments these emotions all tell a story of your day. The photographs live on pass you, you do not just have a photographer for a day but for a life time there vision and the story that they capture on your day is a forever memory. To enable you to share for generations to come.
What do I do, not just a photographer!
It is my profession to tell stories and to capture the moment for all to treasure. So my job is to be a moment catcher something a young girl called me once which has stuck in my mind and a inspiration to my work. I just don’t record the day I am looking and catching the moments that matter. I help with group shot lists and have a wealth of knowledge of timings and schedules and how things flow on wedding days so I am here for you to ask as many questions as you wish. Also I come with my trusted bumbag which is full of all the SOS supplies required.
My Style
I create a mixture of photographs that reflect your personality and style. So no template photographs, the idea is to create something a little different from the rest, which is fun and natural. The style works around you and your guests ensuring you have fun and great photographs to remember the big day. The photography itself is colourful and bold and full of expressions with a dash/ explosion of colour for a good mixture. I feel within my style of photography it is important to capture the details, getting ready, candid storytelling, group shots, couple pictures and all the moments in between. The aim is to simply live life and capture the moment.
Things to think about
There are many wedding photographers in Hampshire and the surrounding area and so much choice of styles and experience levels. So it is important to take your time and make sure you pick the right wedding photographer for you both. Go and visit as many photographers as you wish you will instantly know the right one will stand out to you both. I have a state of the art studio which has lovely meeting space perfect for you to come and meet me and see albums and work in the real as such without the hassle of anyone else around. I am a trusted wedding photographer and have been in photography industry for over 15years. I have lovely team of freelancers I work with who can expand my one woman band if required. I am member of Canon Professional Services also so always have reliable camera gear to hand. I also have a lovely testimonial page which really gives you honest and open feedback from my clients should you want and referrals.
One of my favourite quotes from Ansel Adams; “You don’t make a photograph just with your camera. You bring to the act of photography all the pictures you have seen, the books you have read, the music you have heard, the people you have loved”.
The Details
So the details are just as important as the people pictures. They also tell a story and compliment the main pictures so beautifully. Such as the flower you picked from your grandparents garden who sadly can’t be with us, the locket for luck you great aunt gave you. The new blue shoes your dad purchased for you. The button off your great granddads army uniform which is now a hair pin. The photographs displayed on your card table the name cards you spent hours creating all have importance so every picture counts.
